I want money power and glory
An advocate of small retailing businesses that take advantage of fast-evolving technologies, the founder of the Alibaba Group — Jack Ma — has seen his wealth and bargaining power skyrocket — a phenomenon confirmed by the latest financial reports. He now oversees a global business empire, something the man himself would have frowned upon many years ago. He can also remain an inspiration, although it will be against a backdrop of the rapidly growing wealth and power of his empire. He is having all the three in abundance, thanks largely to his firm belief that online technologies are empowering people who would never have a chance otherwise.SEE VIDEO BY TOPIC: Lana Del Rey - Money Power Glory - Carcassonne

You say that you wanna go To a land that's far away How are we supposed to get there With the way that we're living today? Money, Power, Glory song meanings. Add your thoughts 9 Comments. General Comment Lana has said that because of her serious musical style everything she says the media take seriously when in actual fact a lot of what she says is satirical, ironic or sarcastic, like in this case.
She has been slated for being material obsessed and I think this song is so obvious it is actually obviously sarcastic, especially the "dope and diamonds that's all I am" part. Also the land that's far away refers to heaven and her life style is not very Christian drugs, sex, rock and roll so she doubts her and her love will get to it. No Replies Log in to reply.
There was an error. Song Meaning Sarcasm and a contrast of truth vs. The verses are sort of about what she really wants and believes in. How are you supposed to get true happiness and freedom with "the way that we're living today"? She jokes and says she doesn't care about God or freedom or anything--instead, she wants the money, power, and glory of fame.
Her biggest critics accuse her of this, and she claims that they are right--again, to poke fun at them. It's obviously a little bitter, but also very catchy. She is submissive--she will do whatever to takes to make others, as we know she does care a lot about what people think of her. But again, she shows sarcastic strength "you better run, boy, run! She glamorizes the life of a celebrity "dope and diamonds" , and I think she intentionally feeds into the critics, because she knows people will believe her words in this song and claim she's in it entirely for the fame, but she gets the last laugh, because she and her fans know that this is not the truth.
My Interpretation You say that you wanna go To a land that's far away How are we supposed to get there With the way that we're living today? And as a believer, I am taught that by accepting Jesus we are blessed with freedom. The call means being a Christian, but she doesn't need religion I want money, power and glory I want money and all your power, all your glory Alleluia, I wanna take you for all that you got Alleluia, I'm gonna take them for all that they got she doesn't need religion because her priority is her material need, flesh satisfaction And why she sang "Alleluia" probably because she pray to God to grant her prayer.
While she live in misery and she think it's unfair. She tell the guy who "Talk lots about God" that she actually capable of believing what he believes, but it will be meaningless if her inner thought still rebelling. So it is better for him to stop trying to make her be like minded with him "Run, boy, run". It's like she's being sarcastic to him. I want money, power and glory I want money and all your power, all your glory Alleluia, I wanna take you for all that you got Alleluia, I'm gonna take them for all that they got she pray again Dope and diamonds Dope and diamonds Diamonds Dope and diamonds Dope and diamonds That's all I want sounds like dopamine This song probably about a woman who put material and flesh satisfaction as priority over spiritual growth.
And a man who tries to open her mind that material need is just mortal and that she will never be satisfied, but with God, she will find true eternal happiness. She know it but still she want that happiness from money. She's arguing with that man and herself, but her ego always win. My Interpretation I really think that this song is talking about matrix. The matrix from movie Matrix duh. So why do I think so.
You say that you wanna go You want to escape matrix To a land that's far away But its kinda hard How are we supposed to get there just cant se how to escape anyway With the way that we're living today? Its just really hard You talk lots about God Like the creator of matrix Freedom comes from the call exactly But that's not what this bitch wants because life out of the matrix isnt No what I want at all luxury I want money, power and glory Those kind of things she can have I want money and all your power, all your glory only if she stays in matrix Alleluia, I wanna take you for all that you got maybe talking about taking matix Alleluia, I'm gonna take them for all that they got and its luxury The sun also rises on those who fail to call If you stay in matrix you still live My life, it comprises of losses and wins and fails and falls I can do it if you really, really like that escaping the matrix I know what you really want, b-baby I can do it if you think you like that You should run, boy, run and maybe advises him to go without her cause all she really wants is money power and glory And then the rest is abou what she wants but can only get in matrix.
I imagine that her lover wants to escape maybe he is trying to take her with him and she is just saying that its not what she wants. What do you think does she in the end go with him? Song Meaning First of all Lana is a poet. She understands what being an artist means.
Inorder words, her songs are diverse and doesn't have to be personal. If you are a true fan of Lana and you have actually been following her, you will definitely know she is and understand what she does.
That being pointed out, this song is not personal but talks about lthe general perspective of people on most celebrities- On how some are believed to be anti-God but choose the devil and his ways for the fame power and glory which is believed that he gives in return. However, this is just a work or a poet. Love Lana. General Comment "The sun also rises" a Hemingway ref about a superficial generation obsessed with "money, power and glory"? Counterarguments: what then does " And where's the theme of the earth abiding despite the transience of this materialism?
My Interpretation She is aboslutly speaking about her personal truth. Everyone has their goal in life and this is her's. For her, her truth and power is an acompished ideal, having money power and glory; this is not necessarily the way the western world sees it Fame and notorioty through money and popularity but through respect. Her glory albeit having a monetary apsect is about foremost having respect which money helps her achieve and through her respect gains glory. Song Meaning This one is really straightforward.
Lana is obsessed with cars and "Money, Power, Glory" abbreviates to be "MPG" while typically stands for "miles per gallon. My Interpretation The way I see it, this song is about a woman who can be considered a black widow, an evil girlfriend, or an evil sugar baby.
She doesn't care about love, she doesn't care about salvation; dope and diamonds are the only things that are important to her. She'll use and abuse any man to get those things, or as she puts it, 'take them for all that they've got'. The song begins with her talking about her current conquest, and his desires, contrasting his Godliness to her greed and obsession with power. Rate These Lyrics.
